Solution: Mozilla stores all of it's user specific files in this profile path:
C:\Documents and Settings\Userid\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\MozillaProfileName\RandomNameDirectory.slt
Do the following:
- Copy the contents of the above path from the old machine to some location (like a network drive or zip drive) where you can get to it from the new machine.
- Install Mozilla on the new machine.
- Launch the Mozilla mail client and follow the dialog to create the new mail profile and set the application to recieve mail from the server.
- Stop the application
- Copy the following items from the saved profile data to the profile path (see above) on the new machine:
- Mail directory
- abook.mab file
- bookmarks.html file (if the user also uses the Mozilla web browser)
6. Launch the mail client; the local folders and address book should now show.
